You spoke, and we listened! Reduce the amount of emails you receive from Corptax by selecting CorptaxProductUpdates as a Stated Interest in your profile and confirm delivery of the community digest from the Corptax Community settings in CSC Connections. Starting with the next release, we will provide product updates only in the community.
Hot Fix 1 (HF1) is a mandatory update for all systems running CSC Corptax® 2022.2.0.
HF1 provides the following updates:
- International.
- International calculations no longer create duplicate split records in certain circumstances. We added a new diagnostic, ReviewAccountsWithMultipleSplits, that will appear if you have duplicate split records. See Knowledge Base article International Calculations - Duplicate apportionment splits are generated in certain circumstances in Corptax® 2021.3 and Corptax 2022.2 for more information.
- Any changes you make to Disregarded Payment records now properly save the selected Disregarded Payment Type.
- Tax Return.
- The Tax Return Package wizard now includes the reference ID for the partner and shareholder packages that are printed to individual files.
Note: You must download updated client files for the Tax Return portion of this hot fix. See Corptax SaaS Users below for more information on applying the workstation hot fix.
- In the Tax Return Package wizard, you can now add a custom name for the partner and shareholder packages that are printed to individual files.
- We updated the Form 1120S, Form 1120S SCorp, Form 1120S, Form 1065/8865 and Form 1065 Partnership packages to include statements.
- Corptax Office.
- You can now retrieve POVs based on tables without receiving an error message.
- Corptax Office no longer generates an error for POVs when using 32-bit Microsoft Excel.
Note: You must uninstall and reinstall Corptax Office for this hot fix item.
- ODBC. We resolved a latency issue that occurred when pulling table-based connections using ODBC.
- Cart. You can now print workpapers to Excel using Cart.

Corptax SaaS Users
HF1 includes both a server update and a workstation update. The server update has been applied to your environment. The workstation update requires action on your part.
To apply the workstation update:
- Navigate to Corptax Web (https://asp.corptax.com).
- Log in to your environment.
- Click Help > Help > Desktop Installs.
- Select the Corptax product from the list of products to update the workstation.
- Double-click the downloaded file, or select Run when downloading to begin installation.
- Follow any installation prompts and allow the install to finish.
- Validate you have fully applied HF1 by clicking Home > About in Corptax.
The product version should be 2022.2.0.691.
Corptax Application Hosted Users
The server side of this update has been applied to environments for Corptax Application Hosted users (https://clients.corptax.com). The workstation update will be applied to your environment in an upcoming maintenance window.
You can validate that HF1 has been fully applied by clicking Home > About in Corptax.
The product version should be 2022.2.0.691.
Self-Hosted Users
To download the HF1 update:
- From CSC Connections.
- Click Support > Product Download.
- Expand Product Year: 2022, then expand Product: Corptax U.S. Compliance.
- Click Download Product in the 2022.2.0_HF1 row.
- Depending on the browser you use, the file is either downloaded automatically or a prompt displays.
- Save the file (if prompted).
- Unzip the file.
- Follow the instructions in the Release Notes to complete the installation.
