As we reflect on another year of supporting you-our amazing users-we're excited to share a summary of the new features we introduced in 2025 to make License Pro even more powerful and easy to use.

Thank you for trusting us to help streamline your licensing processes. We look forward to bringing you even more innovative and impactful features in 2026!

Here is what we delivered in 2025:

    Key Enhancement Themes

    • Improved payments/check‑request handling and AP export flexibility
    • Stronger reporting and data visibility (more fields, grouping, notes)
    • Enhanced Workflow/renewal tools and automation (new terms, next‑date calc)
    • Increased productivity with UI and grid enhancements (refresh, column chooser, expand rows)
    • Optimized security and configurations with new Admin right features and configuration sharing
    • Easier record management tools for attachment and notes

    Major highlights by area

Payments, Check Requests & AP Exports

    • Added options to control default Reason/Special Instructions for new check requests.
    • AP export improvements: new Sequence Number and Transaction Number fields plus more date formats and customizable AP file names to meet vendor requirements.
    • Payments: required removal of GL assignments when inactivating GL accounts; improved GL allocation panel (add accounts); removed restriction that mail‑by date must be before due date; Last Approval Date shown in grids; Payment ID visible in more places.
    • Payments now link a renewal payment to its prior payment and surface prior net amounts in the Quick Workflow panel.

    Licenses, Renewals & Workflows

    • New fields and columns to show prior renewal data (started/completed dates, prior due and expiration) and latest/prior renewal payment info.
    • Workflow enhancements: nine‑month term support; ability to Apply Workflow Changes (update steps and term for open periods); automatic calculation of Next Due/Expiration dates; protections for closed workflow periods (certain fields locked).
    • Improved performance and duplicate‑period bug fixes when renewing licenses.

    Reporting & Data Visibility

    • Added new report fields (renewal dates, prior/last payment fields, payment IDs, issuing/covered jurisdiction types, workflow step reporting).
    • Reports can now include all notes (each note on its own row) for certain objects.
    • Grouping and column totals added to more reports (Licenses & Payees, Inspections, Violations, Individuals).
    • New License Workflow Steps report for step‑level workflow visibility.

    Grid & UI Improvements

    • Dedicated Column Chooser icon and an inline Refresh icon to update grids without reopening.
    • Expandable license rows to show Notes detail grid (and include notes in exports).
    • Fill Column, Global Replace extended to more columns; column header filters for attachments.
    • Confirmation prompt when deleting records; Go/View buttons now require record selection to open filtered results.

    Attachments & Notes

    • Attachments toolbar button on module main grids to view direct and related attachments; Attachment ID column added and sortable.
    • Administrators can edit/delete any note; import support for attachments expanded to Individuals, Contracts, and Check Requests.

    Admin, Import/Export & Shortcuts

    • Import/export commands added for workflow templates, report configurations, import configurations, and AP export configs to make moving setups between environments easy.
    • Shortcuts enhancements and the ability to change the "Site" caption to "Warehouse".

    Security & Auditing

    • Improved SSO security: added authorization code flow and option to set a Default Identity Provider and company shortcut.
    • Admins can create multiple groups with Admin Center access.
    • Expanded audit logging to track many more field changes (including due/expiration/term changes).

    Miscellaneous fixes and polish

    • Corrected issues causing duplicate licenses in some updates, fixed grid scrollbar problems, made several filtering improvements for columns that show "Multiple," and added Signed Date for contracts.

In summary, this year's releases concentrated on making payments and renewals more robust and transparent, expanding reporting and export flexibility, improving day‑to‑day grid productivity, and strengthening admin, security, and data integrity capabilities - all aimed at reducing manual work and improving compliance and auditability.

If you have questions about any of these enhancements and how to begin using them, contact your Client Relationship Manager or submit a Trainer-on-Call ticket in Connections.
